Why does water quality play such an important role in your well-being?

What noises are produced by a water treatment system?

Our water treatment systems are designed to operate almost silently. Occasionally, a slight "gurgling" sound may occur. This happens when residual water is discharged from the membrane into the drain - for example during filtration or automatic flushing cycles. Many systems also feature an integrated pump to increase water pressure. Even so, the noise level remains very low. Since the units are usually installed in the kitchen cabinet, any sounds are further dampened. Overall, you can rely on a powerful yet quiet water treatment system.

Is self-installation of the system possible?

In principle, our filters are suitable for self-installation. However, it is advisable to have the installation carried out by trained professionals. How does membrane technology or reverse osmosis work?

Reverse osmosis is based on a natural process known as osmosis. In nature, this process ensures that water is transported through cell membranes - for example in plants or the human body. Normally, water moves through a semi-permeable membrane from a lower concentration solution to a higher concentration solution. In reverse osmosis, this principle is reversed: by applying pressure, water is forced from the more contaminated side through the membrane. The membrane only allows very small molecules to pass through. Larger particles such as pollutants or dissolved salts are retained and removed with the wastewater. The filtered water - also known as permeate - therefore has a significantly reduced level of contaminants, containing up to 98% fewer dissolved substances. The result is exceptionally pure water.
